The record
Meet Ray
Ray Delgado was nineteen when he raised his hand and swore an oath. He spent the next twenty years keeping it — as an Army logistics NCO who moved fuel, food, and medicine to soldiers in some of the hardest places on earth, and came home a Master Sergeant with three deployments behind him.
In uniform, Ray learned the things you can't fake: show up early, tell the truth up the chain, take care of your people before you take care of yourself. When he retired, he brought that discipline home to Your State — running a veterans' outreach center that has helped more than 1,200 local veterans get the care and benefits they earned.
He watched too many of his neighbors wait months for a claim, choose between rent and prescriptions, and lose faith that anyone in office was listening. Ray isn't running to be somebody. He's running because the mission isn't finished.
Ray lives in Anytown with his wife, Elena, a public-school teacher, and their two kids. He still gets up at five. Old habits.

Schools that deliver
Every kid deserves a classroom that works: well-paid teachers, real career and technical tracks, and schools accountable to parents — not to whoever shouts loudest on TV.
Honest government
Ban stock trading for sitting senators, publish every meeting with a lobbyist, and answer to voters in open town halls — the chain of command runs from you down, not the other way around.
