Meet Edward
Edward Calloway has spent his life answering the same question the same way: when your neighbors need something done, you do it. The son of a schoolteacher and a machinist, he grew up in Anytown, worked summers on his grandfather's farm, and earned his way through the state university — the first in his family to graduate.
He built a small equipment business from two employees to eighty, meeting a payroll for twenty-two years and learning what every employer knows: budgets are promises, and promises get kept. His neighbors sent him to the county commission, then to the State Senate, where members of both chambers came to rely on his word being good.
As Governor, he has led Your State the way he ran his shop — carefully, honestly, and with the books open. He balanced four budgets without gimmicks, rebuilt the state's reserves, and showed up in every county, every year, whether the room was friendly or not.
Edward and his wife June have been married for 34 years. They have three grown children, two rescue dogs, and the same house they bought in 1998.
