Who we are

Not one group.
A whole community.

Communities United Coalition started at a kitchen table in Anytown — a handful of neighbors who were tired of being talked past. A block association, a corner-store owner, a parent-teacher group, and a youth soccer league discovered they were all asking for the same things, just in different rooms.

So we put those rooms together. Today the coalition brings dozens of local organizations under one roof: neighborhood associations, small-business alliances, parent groups, faith congregations, senior clubs, and volunteer networks. We are nonpartisan by design — no party, no candidate, no single agenda but the shared one our members voted on.

What holds us together isn’t ideology. It’s a street you want your kids to walk, rent you can actually pay, a park worth visiting, and a local government that answers the phone.

The demand

Five things we
agree on.

Every member of the coalition signed the same pledge. Not a party platform — a neighborhood one. This is what we’re asking our local leaders to deliver.

Safe, welcoming streets

Well-lit sidewalks, faster response times, and neighborhood programs that prevent problems instead of just reacting to them.

Homes families can afford

Protect renters from surprise increases, fix the permitting backlog, and keep working families from being priced out of the block they grew up on.

Schools that work for every child

Smaller classes, real after-school programs, and buildings that are safe and modern — in every ZIP code, not just a lucky few.

Parks and public spaces we’re proud of

Clean, maintained parks, libraries that stay open, and gathering places that belong to the whole community — funded reliably, not as an afterthought.

A local government that listens

Open books, public meetings people can actually attend, and decisions made with the neighborhoods affected — not around them.
